Machzor Eit Ratzon

Machzor Eit Ratzon is a complete prayerbook for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

What makes Machzor Eit Ratzon unique is that, like Siddur Eit Ratzon, it enables people with a variety of backgrounds, practices, and beliefs to participate more actively in the prayer services of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Machzor Eit Ratzon has been adopted by over thirty five congregations.

Machzor Eit Ratzon has a unique four column format with the traditional Hebrew text, a full transliteration, a new translation that is both readable and meaningful (and davenable), and a column of commentaries — all on the same page.

The commentaries column includes basic information about what’s going on in the service, interesting insights into the themes of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, and kavvanot and meditations that can be incorporated into the service. The commentaries also address the philosophical questions that congregants raise, and offer creative alternatives to problematic passages in the service (like the Avodah Service).
